RIVAMARE SINCE 1952 - HISTORY

The history of RIVAMARE began with its founder, the Lieutenant of Aviation Giuseppe Riva, father of Tiziana, current President of the Company.
At the age of 18 he volunteered in the Air Force and from Milan, his hometown, he left for Africa to pursue a career as an aircraft test pilot.
The same adventurous and enterprising spirit took him from the sky to the sea.
In 1950 he moved to Imperia, where he created a fishing company, the “S.I.P.A.M.” (Società Italiana Pesca Altomare), which managed 3 fishing boats and later also created the first fish auction. In 1952, Lieutenant Giuseppe Riva opened the only shop in Imperia for professional fishing equipment, including marine engines, and created the first fuel distribution plant for boats in Imperia.
Over the years the business has grown and evolved, expanding its services from professional fishing to the activity dedicated to yachting, with two reference offices: IMPERIA and GENOA.
